Val d’Isère – The Salon littéraire de l’hôtel les Barmes de l’Ours***** returns to Val d’Isère on February 19th and 20th with two of the season’s best-selling authors: Cédric Sapin-Defour and Jean-Baptiste Andrea, winner of the Prix Goncourt 2023.

The Savoyard journalist and mountaineer’s first autobiographical novel tells the story of thirteen years of passionate bonding with his dog Ubac, a Bernese Mountain Dog. A personal and universal account of the strength of the bonds that unite humans and animals. The book has already won over 400,000 readers.

Discussion moderated by Olivia de Lamberterie, writer and deputy editor-in-chief of Elle magazine, and Jérôme Neutres, Docteur ès Lettres, essayist and art historian.

The winner of the latest Prix Goncourt for his novel Veiller sur elle (L’Iconoclaste), a lyrical epic about destiny and friendship, wrote for the cinema for twenty years, before publishing four best-selling novels and winning nineteen literary prizes.

Discussion moderated by Olivia de Lamberterie, writer and deputy editor-in-chief of Elle magazine, and Jérôme Neutres, Docteur ès Lettres, essayist and art historian.
